The original business presently operated by Keystone Business Ventures, Inc. began as a franchise in 1986. The founder, Lora Morningstar, purchased the rights to VR (Venture Resources) Brokers. VR Brokers is an international franchise that is responsible for establishing half the business brokerage firms in the United States today. After the initial franchise license expired, in 1993, the firm was incorporated as an “S” corporation under the laws of Pennsylvania. At this time the name was changed to Business Ventures, Inc., and traded under the registered name of Real Estate Ventures.
In 1996 Keystone Business Ventures, Inc. purchased the business and expanded the services throughout Central Pennsylvania. The company is a direct contact marketing firm with long-term relationships with its clients. The ideal relation is established when a first time business buyer or business start-up comes in contact with a Business Intermediator from Keystone. That relationship remains throughout the owner life cycle with Keystone Business Ventures, Inc. selling the business to the next owner. This process repeats itself over and over again.
